Solid Power And DOE Announced $50M Assistance Agreement For Production Of Sulfide-Based Solid Electrolyte Material, With Company Cost Share Of $60M

On January 21, 2025, Solid Power Operating, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Solid Power, Inc. (collectively, the "Company"), and the United States Department of Energy (the "DOE") entered into an Assistance Agreement (the "Assistance Agreement"), with an effective date of January 1, 2025. The Assistance Agreement provides that the DOE will provide the Company with funding of up to $50 million for the Company's installation of equipment necessary for the continuous production of sulfide-based solid electrolyte material. The Company's cost share obligation under the Assistance Agreement is $60 million. The Company is subject to certain reporting requirements and compliance obligations under the Assistance Agreement, as set forth in more detail in the Assistance Agreement.
